Brain: How Does Human Brain Work ?

The human brain is the central organ of the human nervous system. It forms the central nervous system along with the spinal cord. The human brain is composed of three main parts: the forebrain (prosencephalon), the midbrain (mesencephalon), and the hindbrain (rhombencephalon).
The brain controls most of the activities of the human body, processing, integrating, and coordinating information received from the sense organs, and making decisions based on that information. It regulates involuntary actions such as heartbeat and breathing, as well as voluntary movements and higher cognitive functions such as thinking, memory, and emotion.
Details:
1. Embryo: Neural tube
2. Tantra: The central nervous system is the nervous immune system
3. Artery: Internal arteries , vertebral arteries
4. Veins:Internal jugular veins , internal cerebral veins , extracerebral veins, subarachnoid veins , superior thalamus- striated veins , integumentary veins , cerebellar veins
5. Identifier: Cerebrum Cerebrum
Without thinking, what does my brain do?
Understanding the subject matter will be easier for students of science and those who comprehend computer systems. Has it ever happened that you, absentmindedly, lifted a (filled) cup from the table and water spilled around? Or, has it happened that you, considering a cup empty, lifted it swiftly, only to find it near your face in no time?
The sole reason for such occurrences is calculation. Based on estimations like whether the cup is empty or filled, its weight, etc., you calculate and lift the cup. If you mistake a filled cup for empty, your calculation goes wrong, leading to such mishaps. So far, you understand the calculation involved. Now, let science students understand how this calculation works.
There’s a stable cup filled with water on a table three feet high, weighing approximately 350 grams. If you apply how much force to the cup from above to make it spill and reach your lips two feet higher, where would the cup stabilize? At what point on the trajectory of this spill would the spill start deteriorating, so the cup stabilizes in front of your lips? How long would it take to calculate the minimum time for solving this mathematical problem? Can you do it in a minute? Five minutes? Ten minutes?
–Before lifting the cup from the table, how long do you think about it?
Your brain solves this complex math problem in a fraction of a second, just ten parts of a second. The human brain is incredibly powerful, far more than a supercomputer.Just showing an example of drinking a cup of water, I have presented a simple calculation. How many times have you worked on such complex calculations throughout your day? Have you ever thought about it? Your brain continuously, rapidly processes intricate calculations, keeping you going. Otherwise, it would take ten minutes just to lift a glass.
So far, I’ve explained understanding the calculation. Now, let’s understand the software.Has it ever happened that due to a software glitch, one of your computer components stopped working? Later, after reinstalling the software, the component started working again?
The human body is in the same situation. Each part of your body is like a machine, and your brain contains its software. If the software in your brain is deleted, that part will stop functioning.
You all are familiar with strokes (see image). In Bengali, it’s called “মস্তিস্কে রক্তক্ষরণ” (brain hemorrhage). It can lead to sudden death. A common problem seen in stroke patients is the paralysis of limbs, hands, legs, etc.Notice, their limbs have not been hit; they became paralyzed due to the stroke. This is a software problem. Due to illness in the brain, the software isn’t working, so the limbs aren’t functioning.
Thinking, remembering, reasoning, etc., are all extra tasks of the brain. The primary function of the brain is software and complex calculations. The brain keeps your entire body running.
How can unnecessary thoughts be removed from the mind?
Thoughts cannot be removed. Thoughts cannot be forgotten. You have to accept this and live your life accordingly. You have come to this world. The world is not always a good place. Your path will never be smooth. Take note, even when you don’t want to think, your subconscious mind is indeed thinking. It continues to think gradually. There’s no escape from thinking. You have to work, and thus you have to think. Therefore, engage in great and profound thinking. Contemplate on solving major problems of the country. In this world, there’s a solution to everything. It definitely exists. You will remain very busy. Very busy. Busy with work every day. Being busy with work will reduce unnecessary worries. Don’t be idle. Be busy every moment. It’s good to be busy. In the language of our village, it’s better to have a bag without handles than to be idle. Keep yourself busy. If there’s no work at hand, watch a good movie. Read a good book. Go for a walk. Chat with friends. But let me tell you, I like to think. I enjoy thinking a lot. I like to think hour after hour. I prefer to think about any subject. I contemplate about politics of the country. I think about a crazy person on the street. I think about my poor friend. There’s a cell phone tower in our area. There’s a boy named Lokman working there. Water drips from the roof of his house during rainy days. I think about Lokman’s kitchen. Until I find a solution, I keep thinking. Due to thinking, I can’t sleep peacefully at night.
How can sharpness of the brain be increased?
You should know that the sharpness of the brain can be increased through brain usage.Consuming the right food is essential for increasing brain capacity. Avoid fried foods. Stay away from animal fats, especially butter. Eat plenty of colorful fruits and vegetables. Increase your intake of fish while reducing meat consumption.Engaging in intellectually stimulating activities also enhances brain efficiency.
Recite or listen to the Quran regularly. Allocate time for prayers. Always pray to Allah. Memory and knowledge are blessings from Allah. He blesses humans with memory and knowledge. He has mentioned in the Quran how humans can increase their memory and knowledge. The incident where the angel Jibril came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to convey revelations is notable. Jibril strived hard to deliver the revelations to the Prophet, which caused him significant distress. Then the above-mentioned verse was revealed, bringing solace to the Prophet and lessening his burden. Allah says, “So high [above all] is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth. And, [O Muhammad], do not hasten with [recitation of] the Qur’an before its revelation is completed to you, and say, ‘My Lord, increase me in knowledge.'” (Surah Ta Ha: Ayah 114)
Finally, a small piece of advice – Imam Shafi’i (may Allah have mercy on him) complained to his teacher, Imam Wakii (may Allah have mercy on him), saying, “My memory is weak.” Imam Wakii replied, “Abandon sinning, because knowledge is light, and it is not given to the sinner. Yet, Imam Shafi’i had memorized the entire Quran in 30 days. Despite that, he humbly expressed that his memory was weak. Even though the teacher knew the student to be knowledgeable, he still cautioned him against sin. This is a very important piece of advice for us. May Allah accept us, grant us the ability to abandon sin, and bless us with a life free from sin. Amen.
